New Roy Blunt TV Ad Focuses on Border Security, Support for Arizona's Tough Immigration Law

In a new TV ad, Roy Blunt focuses on the need for greater border security, finishing the border fence and supporting Arizona's strong immigration law.

The new ad entitled "Respected," also highlights a key difference between Roy Blunt and Robin Carnahan. Joining Barack Obama yet again, Robin Carnahan said she opposes Arizona's tough new immigration law, telling POLITICO, "I'm not in favor of what they're doing in Arizona." (POLITICO, 4/30/10)

"We have to do a better job of securing our borders," Roy Blunt said during a border security tour at the U.S./Mexico border near El Paso. "That's why I've led the fight to increase border security, including building an effective fence in critical areas.

"President Obama and Robin Carnahan both oppose strong measures like Arizona's new immigration law. I support the Arizona law. Secure the border. Finish the fence. Enforce the law. Legal immigration made America great but our laws - and our borders - must be respected."
